_ 31. A Christian book fiction or nonfiction
_ 32. A children’s book
Rules:
- Fiction or nonfiction.
- Books, e-books, audio books all are fine.
- Books and movies can be reviewed together or separately.
- You can create a reading list if you want, but it’s not a requirement
- If you do make a list, consider adding a list of five books you’d recommend to others
- If possible try to try a new-to-you author! I know it can be really tempting to stick with familiar favorites.
- Children’s books published during these years should not be forgotten!
- Rereads are definitely allowed if you have favorites!
- A blog is not required, a review is not required, but, if you don’t review please consider sharing what you read in a comment with one or two sentences of ‘reaction’ or ‘response.’
- Any qualifying book reviewed in 2017 counts towards the challenge. If you’re like me, perhaps you try to schedule posts a week ahead of time. So if it’s reviewed in 2017, it counts. Even if you finished the book the last week or two of 2016!

You mean you plan to read 32 books from this period. That’s a huge time committment. I shall be following your progress with great interest, especially to see what you choose as your most intimidating book.

And by the way I suggest Sarah Perry’s The Essex Serpent as your no 15.

Thank you! I’ll do it. I’ve heard great things about “The Essex Serpent”. It will not be officially released in the USA until June of 2017 and I will probably need to wait to get it from the library then. I’ve also taken an oath not to spend money for the month of January, and to try to renew that each month. I have about 1000 books here that are unread and buying a book almost guarantees that I can say “I have it” and postpone reading it. I’m going to rely on the library with its stern admonitions to return books on time.

Half of Gert is an unbridled book buyer and the other half hardly ever buys a book but has a great library. I get very anxious if I have unread books around the place. I can’t stand not to read them once I have them.
